Lent 2024: Arise, My Soul

 Verse 1. ARISE, MY SOUL, ARISE.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

Verse 2. FOR ME TO INTERCEDE.
Wherefore he is able to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25

Verse 3. FORGIVE HIM, OH FORGIVE.
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. I Peter 2:24

Verse 4. HIS SPIRIT IN YOU IS THE HOPE OF GLORY.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:11

Verse 5. FATHER, ABBA, FATHER.
They are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:14-15

The concluding 5th verse is a stirring testimony of the joy of salvation.
